EL CAC MÁLAGA PRESENTA LA PRIMERA EXPOSICIÓN EN ESPAÑA DE WAYNE GONZALES
El Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga presenta la primera exposición en España del artista norteamericano Wayne Gonzales. La exposición, comisariada por Fernando Francés, se compone de diez pinturas entre las que se encuentran dos obras inéditas (Seated Crowd, 2011 y Slingshot Boy, 2011). La temática que contiene sus obras forma parte de la intención del artista de provocar en el espectador un efecto visual diferente. Sus multitudes y figuras contrastan con las imágenes de orbes luminosos que se asemejan a los focos de luces de un plató de cine. Nada ocurre por casualidad en el trabajo de este artista que se mueve entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto.

THE CAC MÁLAGA PRESENTS THE FIRST EXHIBITION IN SPAIN ON WAYNE GONZALES
The Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga is presenting the first exhibition in Spain on the American artist Wayne Gonzales. Curated by Fernando Francés, it comprises ten paintings, including two previously unexhibited works, Seated Crowd and Slingshot Boy, both of 2011. Gonzales’s subject matter is an integral part of his intent to provoke a new and different visual effect on the spectator. His depictions of crowds and figures are quite different to his images of luminous spheres that resemble the lights on a film set. Nothing takes place by chance in the work of an artist who moves between abstraction and figuration.
